Jim Savitt - "Hear & Now"

Jim Savitt
NightCast Records

Great guitar playing, this new and upcoming smooth jazz guitarist has it all. Based in New York City, Jim Savitt is the owner of the SaviTech Studio, and has released his brand new album "Hear & Now". The new and promising guitarist has been compared to Norman Brown, Earl Klugh, George Benson and a host of other smooth jazz guitar greats.

Jim Savitt has become one of our favorite guitarists. This album boast upbeat and cool music (hence cool jazz). Featuring David Mann on the saxophone playing for a few of the tracks, Savitt's sound is very much similar to Norman Brown, Thom Rotella, Eric Essix and the others that we all know and love. Our favorite track is "On The Way", where Savitt virtually takes the listener on a journey. If you're looking for some mellow tunes, you might try "Without You", but it is still so powerful that you might as well classify this album as a very bright and upbeat CD. Listen to the man himself on CIM Radio and see if you like it.
